TOO MUCH is a magazine about romantic geography. Its purpose is to document our collective experience of cities, and look at the ways people and landscapes make and remake one another. Founded in 2011, TOO MUCH is produced and designed in Japan by a global group of writers, researchers, artists and photographers. It is for those searching for real stories about architecture, cities and art.
Issue #7 of cult Tokyo-based publication TOO MUCH: Magazine of Romantic Geography represents the first in the magazine's WORK series, tracing the output of a single creative practitioner in-depth. This stunningly designed and weighted issue traces the work famed Japanese photographer and explorer Naoki Ishikawa and his incisive images from The Himalayas. Through photographs, maps, texts, diary entries and inventories, the issue follows Ishikawa to the summit of several of world's highest peaks, including K2, Makalu and Everest.
